New God of War Takes Place “Well Before the First Vikings”
God of War Director, Cory Barlog, has dropped an interesting story tidbit about the new God of War today.
As shown at last year’s E3 reveal, the God of War series has ditched Greek mythology to head north to explore Norse mythology. From the reveal trailer, you might expect to fight some Vikings in the game, but according to Barlog that won’t be the case.
In response to a fan’s question about God of War’s story, Barlog revealed that the new game takes place “in a time well before the first Vikings.” Unfortunately for us, Barlog didn’t expand on that detail anymore than that. Maybe we’ll learn more at E3 this year which is just around the corner in June.
Stay tuned for further updates on the God of War as we have them.
Our story takes lace in a time well before the first Vikings so I don’t see them appearing. Sorry.
