Week in Review – July 23, 2017
Apologies again for missing a couple Week in Reviews. Had a busy couple of weekends again getting everything ready for our announcement tomorrow. I’m currently stressing out like you wouldn’t believe, but I’m also super excited.
WHAT’S HAPPENING AT GAMEUMENTARY?
The past three months have been all building up to this. We’ve been hard at work on some super secret stuff we’ll be announcing this week, and as excited as I am to get it all out there, I’m also pretty nervous. You’ll know tomorrow what we’ve been teasing you with for the past week, but I honestly think we’re going to blow you away this week.
Just the mere fact that everything fell into place for this…yea. I don’t want to say anymore than that today. What I will tell you is that we’ll be making a new announcement every day this week starting tomorrow…so that should give you an idea of just how big this is. Gameumentary is about to be on a lot more people’s radars and I’m super excited about that and what the future holds for us.
PERSONAL GAMING UPDATE
These past couple weeks, for as busy as I have been, are the first couple weeks that I’ve had some time to actually play some video games in a bit. I managed to find the time to finish Get Even, which I actually really enjoyed. The story is as good as everyone said it was, and it’s certainly worth a playthrough if you’re a fan of narrative heavy games that screw with your head. The shooting / action sections of Get Even are easily the weakest part of the game, but thankfully they’re used sparingly enough that it wasn’t enough to hinder me from finishing the game.
I also managed to put a few hours into the new MMO, Albion Online. I’ve never actually played an MMO before, and I’ve been enjoying the little chunk of Albion that I’ve played. If I continue with it, I’ll definitely need to get a group of people to play the game with me so that I can experience the guilds and the bigger territory battles that happen. The developers said the game that’s closest in relation to Albion is Eve Online, at least in terms of how the game plays out. I don’t think Albion has, or will have, the accessibility problems that EVE does.
Aside from my nightly Rainbow Six Siege matches, I don’t think I’m going to have much time for actually playing games again for the next few weeks, plus Kyle, Celia and I leave for Boston on the 6th of August for our next documentary covering The Deep End Games and Perception. The next few weeks are going to be quite exciting, I can tell you that much.
See you tomorrow.
