Survival Horror Game, Remothered: Tormented Fathers, Heads to Steam Greenlight

Chris Darril and Stormind Games have officially launched the Steam Greenlight campaign for their upcoming survival horror game, Remothered: Tormented Fathers.

Here’s the official story synopsis from the game’s Greenlight page:

Rosemary Reed, a fascinating 35-year-old woman, reaches the house of a retired notary, Dr. Felton, who is affected by a mysterious disease. The woman is greeted by Ms. Gloria, the nurse who takes care of the old man. When Rosemary reveals herself and her true intentions, the terrifying dread begins.

Rosemary’s investigations will bring her to believe that the disappearance of the man’s daughter Celeste actually hides a terrible massacre. Dr. Felton and his wife, Arianna, could be the only ones to know the truth, including the secret behind Celeste’s real identity and a fanatic cult of cloistered nuns in red.

Following in the footsteps of many other survival horror games as of late, players won’t be able to fight back against the enemies in the game. According to the Greenlight page, you will have to hide and sneak your way around adversaries by using whatever you can find to distract them. The description also lists that the game will have a very strong focus on the narrative which includes “movie-like cutscenes” directed by Chris Darrill himself.

A new trailer was released alongside the campaign showing off the first snippets of gameplay. Remothered is planned for release this year on the PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for further updates.

  • Remothered and hopefully re-clothed at some point. Sneaking around with his lily-white man-buns in your face does not really add to the horror. Unless you find senior bodies terrifying, which I don’t. Looking pretty great otherwise, though. Looks story-heavy and we get a cool lady protagonist, both of which are plus marks in my book. I hope the game gets greenlit. I voted for it myself.
